Who they are

Annie rescues an injured novelist and then refuses to let him leave, rewriting his book at gunpoint and punishing him for narrative choices she disapproves of. She is disarmingly folksy, censors her own swearing, and swings between adoration and violence with no warning at all. As a portrait of parasocial obsession she has only become more relevant.
