Editorial opinion
Everything on this site that ranks, scores or evaluates a character is opinion. The six attribute scores are a comparative device we invented so that characters from unrelated fictional universes can be placed on one scale. They are not canon, not derived from any official source, and not intended to settle anything permanently. Their purpose is to make the argument interesting.

Loanminty is an independent commentary site with no affiliation to, endorsement from or sponsorship by any film studio, television network, comic publisher, game developer or rights holder mentioned here.
These references are made for the purposes of identification, criticism, review and commentary, which we consider fair use under applicable copyright law.

Every image published on this site is original artwork produced specifically for Loanminty. We do not use screenshots, promotional photography, cover art, character renders or fan art of copyrighted characters.
The artwork illustrating each villain represents that character's archetype, not the character itself, and no piece is intended to depict any copyrighted design. This is a deliberate editorial and legal choice, explained further on the about page.
Accuracy
We check dates, credits and production details against primary sources where possible, and we describe disputed or apocryphal claims as reported rather than stating them as fact. Errors still happen. If you find one, write to [email protected] and it will be corrected.
Spoilers
This site discusses plot events, including endings, twists and character deaths, because a serious discussion of villains is impossible without them. Assume any profile or ranking contains spoilers for the work it covers.
Content warnings
Many of the characters covered here appear in horror, crime and adult drama. Profiles describe violence, cruelty and psychological abuse in general editorial terms where relevant to the character. We do not publish graphic imagery, and we do not rank or glorify real people, real crimes or real violence. Every character on this site is fictional.
