Who they are
Osborn is a respected industrialist and the father of Peter Parker's best friend, which is why the Goblin hurts more than any other Spider-Man antagonist. He is the one who learned the secret identity first and used it, and the 1973 story where he kills Gwen Stacy is widely treated as the moment the Silver Age of comics ended.
