Who they are

The Riddler cannot stop leaving clues. It is not a taunt, it is a disorder: he needs to be recognized as the cleverest person in the room so badly that he sabotages his own crimes to prove it. Recent versions have leaned into that pathology and turned him into a genuinely frightening figure, a serial killer with a following and a livestream.

Things you might not know

He appeared only twice in the 1940s and was revived largely because a 1966 television performance made him a star.
In several storylines he works as a private detective, and he is genuinely good at it.
