Albert Wesker
Sunglasses indoors, at night, in a burning laboratory
Attribute scores
Editorial estimates on a 0–100 scale, calibrated against every other character in the index. Not official canon.
Who they are
Wesker begins as the player's own team leader and reveals himself as a corporate double agent in the first game's most memorable turn. Across the series he becomes a superhuman with a plan to force global evolution, and the writing has always cheerfully embraced how ridiculous he is. He is the rare villain whose escalating absurdity has become a genuine part of the appeal.
Defining traits
What makes them dangerous
He is faster than a bullet, better informed than any government, and he was your boss.
And what undoes them
Extremely specific: a dependence on injections, and an ego that keeps him talking too long.
Things you might not know
- He wears sunglasses in almost every appearance, including in complete darkness, which fans have never let go.
- The character survives an event that visibly kills him and returns two games later, without much explanation at first.
- His final confrontation takes place inside an active volcano, which the series treats as entirely normal.
Why number 11 in Video Games
He was your team leader in the first game. Everything absurd he became afterwards is part of why the series is beloved.
